The Return-to-work Services After Occupational Injuries in Taiwan: Challenges and Prospect.

The services of Return-to-Work (RTW) after occupational injuries are classified into three domains, including: occupational rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation and vocational rebuilding. Nevertheless, lack of cross-service connection made the performance of services hard to be evaluated and satisfied. Also, the definition of successful RTW service was diversified among 25 service units assigned and granted by the OSHA of Taiwan. The presentation will show the result of statistics for each kind of service and discuss the possible sources deriving challenges of RTW service. After the establishment of the center for occupational accident prevention and rehabilitation (COAPRE) on April 2022, many solutions of problems have been proposed and discussed. We expected, after the service mechanism can be improved and enhanced the online connection with good quality of data management, the RTW work can be conducted efficiently with efficacy.
